Is the Ness RK4 Compatible With My Alarm?

The Ness RK4 (106-167) is compatible with a range of Ness alarm systems and receivers including:

  • Ness DPlus
  • Ness D8X / D8XCel – Rev 4.0 and later
  • Ness D16X / D16XCel – Rev 4.0 and later
  • Ness D24
  • Ness R8
  • Compatible Ness radio receivers, including the 100-200 Radio Interface and other supported receivers

Important compatibility note * - The RK4 is not suitable for older Ness D8X/D16X panels running Rev 3.x or earlier. These systems require the Ness 3+1 Radio Key (106-178) instead.

What do the four buttons on the Ness RK4 do?

The four buttons provide ON/Arm, OFF/Disarm, Panic and AUX functions when used with compatible Ness alarm panels or receivers.

Is the Ness RK4 waterproof?

Yes. The RK4B is a fully sealed, waterproof radio key designed for everyday use

Can I use the RK4 to open my garage door?

The AUX button can be used for compatible auxiliary functions such as garage doors, gates or lights when the appropriate interface and programming are installed.

Does the RK4 need to be programmed to my alarm?

Yes. The radio key needs to be programmed to the compatible alarm system/receiver. Programming should be completed by a suitably qualified alarm installer or technician.
